Plato’s Republic

So I have taken the time to begin reading Plato’s Republic, and was pleasantly surprised to find that it was largely Plato’s observations of the legendary Socrates and the conversations he has about an “ideally just society.”

I also was impressed with the interaction back and forth as he argued with Thrasymachus in the first few chapters. Whether it pays to be just or unjust and who profits greater from being such, as well as the ethics involved with carrying oneself in such a manner.
